Fantasy of Flight, Central Florida’s premier aviation attraction, along with Polk Museum of Art, are calling all budding artists ages 3-12 to participate in a drawing contest featuring themes from the upcoming 2nd Annual Roar n’ Soar.
Weekend of Art Planned at PMoA 5 Sep. 2008
Polk Museum has a full weekend of art activities planned for the middle of the month! Starting Friday, September 19 and ending Monday, September 22, something art related will take place every day.
Legendary Blues Musician to Perform at Museum Benefit 4 Sep. 2008
On Friday, October 3, legendary Blues musician Bobby “Blue” Bland will perform at Red, White & The Blues, an outdoor concert and benefit hosted by Polk Museum of Art. The event will take place at the Lake Mirror Amphitheater from 6pm until 11pm.
Local Arts Patron to Receive Harrison-Hooks Lifetime Achievement Award 4 Sep. 2008
Polk Museum of Art is pleased to announce that Lakeland resident Anne Tucker is the next recipient of the Museum’s Harrison-Hooks Lifetime Achievement Award. The award will be presented to Tucker on November 12 at a banquet held in her honor at Lakeland Yacht and Country Club.
Family Day Features Free Frontier Themed Activities 22 Aug. 2008
On September 20, Polk Museum of Art will host its annual Family Day. From 10am - 4pm, Museum visitors will be able to enjoy free admission to most of the Museum and free, family friendly fun.
